Where is the Marcellus Shale?
The entire Marcellus Shale Formation currently is not deemed exploitable, especially those areas that are nearer to the Anthracite Coal Fields. Currently, a line is being drawn in southern Wyoming, Lackawanna and Luzerne Counties where the Marcellus is considered “cooked” and not exploitable.
Since we’ve been living in the midst of the exploitation for several years now, most of us are very familiar with the various stages of well development.
